"At a time when many ideologies have all but blown themselves out; when meaning seems to have become meaningless in a strangely nihilistic void; when, in our sophistication, we find as our ancestors did that we are fearful of the unpredictability of nature; when knowledge as causality seems to become increasingly predetermined; it seems heaven sent that there remains the oasis of risk and courage that is psyche of the artist. In the latter half of the 20th century the oasis grew as artists began to realise projects outside of the gallery and museum.

To this end the 21st century has seen the further development of art into the widening possibilities of public space. Such possibilities are not entirely governed by the artist’s will. To make the possibilities happen, strong and determined project management and curation is needed.

Having worked with Sam and Sarah on several projects I believe that InSite Arts have the determination and skill to realise such possibilities. InSite Arts have practical and strategic knowledge that has been accumulated over many years of experience. They are a delight to work with because they are as determined to realise good art as the artists themselves. They have the necessary risk and courage that maintains and expands the oasis. InSite Arts can shrink the desert."
